Airnet NZ Ltd began in 2002 by delivering fixed wireless Internet to Hawke’s Bay businesses.
Over the year’s Airnet became so much more than an Internet Service Provider. To support the needs of their demanding business customers, Airnet developed professional IT Support and Web development divisions.
In more recent times, Airnet has become a fully-fledged Telecommunications company to provide voice capable services alongside the mainstay broadband service.
Airnet expanded into Rotorua in 2006 and plans to extend communication services to other NZ regions in the near future.
Proving their success as a company big on service and the delivery of quality communications, the company won the 2007 Best Regional ISP at the NetGuide Awards – an excellent compliment from Airnet’s customers who voted for them.
Airnet was also a finalist for TUANZ Innovation Awards 2007.

In November 2008, Airnet were nominated finalists for two Hawke’s Bay Chamber of Commerce Business Awards with a great result coming with the winning of the Unison Service Provider of the Year Award.
