xobni

By Tobias Taylor, August 17th, 2010

I have just been introduced to the power of xobni.

I am really interested in the thoughts of this tech savvy forum on it.

I think it is pretty great at extracting contact details for people I have limited contact with and building a profile or getting up to date contact details, but, put the shoe on the other foot... having my personal facebook details and photos pop up when I have no link (I thought) from my personal facebook to my business details is of concern.

I haven’t used it extensively however there has been lots of criticism of xobni from a tech perspective. It is quite resource intensive and can cause other elements of Outlook to crash.

  2. I concur with Paul. It’s cool, but huuuuuugely unstable.

I would agreee. It is some time since I used it but when I did I loved the concept of the app but it really slowed outlook down and made it a bit flacky.

  4. Thanks for your comments. You were all correct. Outlook has been a shocker. Removing now… all 19MB

  5. Thanks for your comments. We’ve spent a lot of time and effort over the past year on improvements to speed and performance of Xobni. A lot of early-day Xobni users have expressed that they’ve seen huge improvements in recent months, and we continue to improve every day. If you’ve not tried it in a while, please give us another shot. We’d love to hear your feedback. If you download and have problems, we have a killer support team that will help troubleshoot – typically the problem is with corrupted pst files or conflicting add-ins that we can try to fix.
