Fruitbowl would like to thank the HDC for offering their Chamber on the 12th Oct, but we feel it is a bit premature for the group to ‘present’ to the Council.
Thanks for the opportunity and we’re really stoked that we have your support – the group just needs a bit of time to find it’s legs.

Fantastic idea! There is plenty of work for all of us and plenty of scope for us also to collaborate (rather than just compete) from time to time.

We love watching our local competitors do great things as it drives us to keep upping our game too.

Yahoo. I like John (haven’t meet him, yet) but an action man. Talk is easy. This man is doing it!

Come on, opportunity is knocking. Let’s do it. Let’s get visible. I am tired of accidentally meeting ICT people, I want to purposely meet.

Rally the troops, pass the word. Let’s get the ICT community to John’s door. This includes the corporates such as Heinz-Watties, Unision, HBDHB, EIT, etc Get the email confirmations to John.

I am very happy to put a format together for the get-together. Casual but structured. Let’s get a some ICT-focused networking going, and figure out how to make a portal so the whole world can see us.

So, let’s do something about it…. Monday 12 Oct @ 4.30

Hastings District’s Chamber is booked for you, the local ICT fraternity to “get visible” and demonstrate your unrecognised talents.

Who know what may transpires – but if the appetite is there, perhaps a regular ICT forum could become a happening thing, providing a platform for what HB’s ICT capability to be better sen and understood by locals AND most important, supported.

In addition to posting any further comment on Fruitbowl, please email me direct @ johnvb@hdc.govt.nz so I have an understanding of attendance numbers (and I can cover off any techie requirements should presenters wish to utilise HDC’s IT system.)
