Hey Cuccumber, we agree about having a Social Media Policy. There are both risk’s and benefits to be had with Social Media and Social Networking Websites.
You’ve pointed out the dangers of leaking intelligence, however I think every business should also intergrate a “pro Social Media Policy” as well. Your whole team should be involved in keeping in touch with existing customers, finding new customers, new business partners and maybe even new suppliers using Social Networking Sites.
We feel there is a lot to gain (especially as a lot of companies aren’t pro-active enough yet) with Social Media.
