Once of my favorite shops in the Bay is Revolution Bikes. A few times now I’ve turned up at closing time and they’ve sorted me out.
I was delighted to get their email this week. I think this is a great local example of online marketing. Great offer, good copy, personalized, clear calls to action etc…

Nice work guys.

This is real cool and great to see. Shame Ive only just seen as I need to do some work on my brakes.
Slightly different scale but Mellow Johnnys in Austin (owned by Lance Armstrong) runs maintenance classes, daily rides, yoga classes, Tour de France parties, has a café and also offers commuter services (showers/lockers etc).
Not sure on the demand for commuter services but perhaps a few other ideas for Revolution Bikes.

Nice Alex, thanks. We’d love a cafe onsite, and RPM classes with wind-trainers, but I might have a hard time convincing the guys about yoga!
There’s still 3 evening classes to go and we’ll be repeating the Bike Shop Secrets series again in spring. We’re also looking at doing some corporate sessions during the day so let us know if your workmates or clients are into cycling too. We’re all for cycling as a business networking tool!
You can follow us on twitter @revolutionBlKES or facebook to keep up with the latest, or check our website to join the email list. Otherwise just wheel along to the shop… always happy to please.
