A juice like no other…

By Steve Moody, October 16th, 2009

The team at Tank have had the pleasure of working with Simply Squeezed on developing a product that has challenged and redefined the boundaries of the chilled juice category in New Zealand.

Simply Squeezed identified a market for chilled ‘juice-bar-like’ beverages that were made more accessible. This market was known to pay a premium for quality, fresh blends of fruit, vegetables and herbal extracts and, until now, could only get their fix through a juice bar.

SuperJuice has literally bottled your juice bar and people can now enjoy juice-bar-like blends in a single serve bottle through cafes, or at home with the 1 litre supermarket range.

There are five varieties, each featuring wild blends of fruit and/or veg and an impressive list of herbal extracts – Ginseng, Ginkgo, Echinacea, Acai, Guarana, Ginger, Wheat Grass and Barley Grass.

My favourite is Invigorate which has Carrot, Apple,Oranges and Ginger. Close in behind has to be Upbeet, yes with beetroot would you believe and it tastes bloody good!

You won’t miss the packaging which I’m sure you’ll agree has strong shelf presence (plug for an immensely proud team of designers here at Tank).

  1. Good work Tank – the packaging looks awesome!! And good luck Simply Squeezed – I look forward to seeing the product in the supermarket – and trying the beetroot one!

  2. Wow!! They sound intriguing, that’s for sure… Nice to see people stepping outside the box with their product ideas! And I’m with George… can’t wait to have a go at the beetroot one!

  3. They are on the shelves now. Just tried Invigorate. Good!

  4. Just had some Invigorate for breakfast and it’s yum. Also tried the Upbeet and Survive (is that correct?) – and they were yum too.

  5. Pleased you guys are enjoying it! You’ll be pleased to know that sales are going off like the proverbial. Not sure if our client ever anticipated it being used in this way, but I’m told by a very good authority that it also makes a great cocktail – simply add Vodka and stir.

  6. They are great drinks – it’s a pity Hastings New World won’t stock it! Have gone to buy it a couple of times from there!
Not sure how a supermarket that says it’s local is local… they don’t even stock Aurum coffee

  7. Watch this space Damon. It is being distributed exclusively through Countdown, Foodtown and Woolworths for the first eight weeks. All going to plan, I believe it will be in Pak ‘n Save and New Worlds in weeks to come.
