Did you know that Napier and the wider Hawke's Bay are about to show off their 'best side' to 150 i-SITE conference delegates from around the country?
That's because Napier i-SITE secured the bid to host the national annual conference ahead of some other worthy potential host cities.
The three day conference begins on 12 September at the Napier War Memorial Conference Centre and is proceeded and followed by a Famil programme highlighting a mixture of wine, food, Art Deco, activities and attractions. A large line-up of events , workshops and interesting speakers also form part of the conference programme.
Hosting the conference is particularly good timing for profiling Napier during the lead up to the Rugby World Cup in 2011. With two matches played at McLean Park, the familiarisation to the region will be a timely reminder to key tourism industry staff of why they should recommend that visitors really enjoy some quality time in the Bay.
From a Bathing Belle’s and Bloke’s event at the National Aquarium to an Amazing Race event around the Ahuriri area, delegates are sure to have their eyes truely opened to the wonderful delights the Bay has to offer!
So, keep an eye out for delegates roaming around the region . And if you spot any of them, make sure you welcome them with our normal Hawke's Bay hospitality!
