Why not spend this Sunday wandering through the vines and doing something wonderful for your community too? No 9 is excited to be one of the Corporate Event Sponsors for Project K, a very special charity that helps young people right here in Hawke’s Bay. Project K programmes are designed to inspire 13 to 15 year olds to reach their potential, through building self-confidence, promoting good health, education and teaching life skills like goal setting and teamwork. The programme is an exciting 14 month journey of discovery, through which young people achieve a strong sense of purpose and an increase in self-worth, learning outdoor skills and an understanding of how communities work. We hope you’ll join us in backing Project K in the Bay, and sign up for the first fundraiser of the year – Project K Hawke’s Bay Tour de Vines Fun Run and Walk at the beautiful Kemblefield Estate Winery this Sunday March 7, 2010. Get a group of friends, your family, work mates or sports team together and join in the action. There’s something for everyone, from the 5km walk through to the 20km run. Drink stations en route will keep you cool and hydrated. There will be yummy food, cold drinks, espresso coffee and the chance to sample some of Kemblefield’s delicious wines. There are also plenty of spot prizes to be won and best dressed prizes for the top child, adult and team… so why not join the fun! For more information check out www.projectkhb.org.nz or for registration enquiries call (06) 870 4041. The No 9 team will be strolling through the vines on Sunday, so we look forward to seeing you there too!
