Getting a headache from banging your head against the wall in solitude?

April 23rd, 2010

Then picture this:

The Green Room... an office space in Napier where you can rent your own office space for an affordable price. A place where you are surrounded with like minded people that you can bounce ideas off. You have access to all that you require to make your job so much easier.. a proper meeting room, an admin person, kitchen facilities etc etc..

Imagine the look on your customer's face when they are mightily impressed with your office location, your logo on the door, the way that "your" receptionist answers your phone so professionally and the general electrifying buzz in the air when you take your customer into your office...

Advantages

  • You have people to talk to and swap ideas with, pushing your business in the correct direction.
  • Professional image.
  • All the facilities you need are there.
  • Don't take your work home.

Disadvantage

  • You will have to wear that stupid happy grin on your face the whole time you're at work..

  1. Hi Paul, who are you using for telecommunications? I have some seriously cool solutions that would really add value to a serviced/shared office space.

  2. And I know a company (based in Havelock North) that could make a seriously cool website for the Green Room!

  3. Ha! The Force is strong in you both.. Smelling business a mile away..

@ Ben: Perhaps we should get together at a later stage to discuss your “seriously cool” stuff.

@ Matt: Thanks for your help on how to use this very neat-looking Fruitbowl website, but my loyalty lays with another local Web Developer of which I won’t mention the name out of respect for your involvement in this site. But I am always open to suggestions and new ideas..!

  4. Hi Paul – there are quite a few empty spaces in our building if you’re looking for something central. 100 Emerson St, maybe worth considering?

  5. I’d like to suggest you have a competitive quote for your landline, broadband and mobile requirements from Vodafone.

  6. @ Miriama: Yep, certainly worth a look. We are just receiving the interests now and will organise after that. Might have to contact you then.

@ Neil: Certainly will be getting prices from multiple suppliers.

  7. @Paul Dutch there is a great article on the benefits of co-working on mashable today http://mashable.com/2010/05/12/co-working-small-business/

  8. @ Ben: Yes, this nails the hammer on the head (or the other way round)..! Thanks Ben for sharing this..
