Fruitbowl - Fresh Ideas from Hawke's Bay

The Hawke’s Bay Rowing Club is this year hosting some of New Zealand’s top rowing talent with members of the Auckland RPC competing at their annual regatta.

The HB Rowing Club ‘Picinic Regatta’ will be held on the Monday the 28th of December.

“We really enjoy holding this regatta,” says HBRC President Neil Pulford. “It’s New Zealand’s oldest regatta and has long been a fun fixture on the New Zealand Rowing Calendar. It’s holiday time, people can bring a picnic, sit on the bank, and watch the racing.’

The club welcomes everyone to this fun filled day saying that though those on the banks of the Clive River may be relaxing and putting their feet up there is plenty of tension on the water.

The top line up includes several Hawke’s Bay rowers who are affiliated to the Auckland RPC

The regatta also hosts Kayak Club racing on the day to make it an action packed day.

Entry is free and food and refreshments are available on-site.
