Hawke’s Bay’s Rugby World Cup celebrations next year could feature a large grass rugby ball as reported in the latest issue of The Profit.
The Profit’s editor Lawrence Gullery got the scoop on Hawke’s Bay’s world cup efforts. The 10 metre large ball – which needs funding, will be positioned on Marine Parade and is our grand plan to attract international rugby supporters to the Bay.
It is hoped that the attraction will stimulate international media interest as the Bay competes with other regions to promote itself.
The Profit goes on to interview All Black Legend John Kirwan and Prime Minister John Key about how Hawke’s Bay businesses can benefit from the world cup.
“We’re also asking the question whether a large rugby ball is our best strategy for luring tourists or should the region be focussing on its natural attributes,” says publishing manager Damon Harvey.
Hawke’s Bay’s only business magazine also profiles local business leaders Kevin Atkinson and Jenny Yule while also taking a behind the scenes look at what makes the Hastings and Napier retailer marketing groups tick.
Also featured is the resurgence of Ahuriri as a business and residential hub and the UnisonFibre Business Expo.
With the pending local body elections, The Profit also asks local businesses what they would like from councils.
