A little bit of kiwi know-how, clever marketing and some native ingredients has led to success for Jodee Reid, from Hawke's Bay. Her BabyBaby Barrier Nappy Rash Cream has just been announced as a winner in the iParenting Media Awards Greatest Products of 2009.
The prestigious US-based iParenting Media Awards programme provides a credible and objective method of determining outstanding products in the marketplace. Products are reviewed by parents, experts, licensed childcare centers and schools, so for kiwi BabyBaby director Jodee Reid it's an exciting achievement.
“To have our New Zealand-made product recognised in an international market is very humbling. We are so excited to be held in such high regard.”
Jodee knew she had a winner on her hands but says it’s wonderful to be officially recognised. The full range of quality skin care products offered by BabyBaby is designed specifically for children, with not-so-secret New Zealand native ingredients Manuka and Kanuka oils used as a cure and prevention treatment.
BabyBaby is owned and operated by New Zealander Jodee Reid, a fully trained esthetician, savvy business woman and mother of four. One of her children is Matisse Reid who captured the hearts of Hawke’s Bay’s public due to a rare medical condition that means she can’t eat and desperately needs a multiple organ transplant. Despite the challenge of caring for an ill child, Jodee is a passionate and driven business woman who has established a loyal customer base and wide range of products that they are continually developing to meet the demands of consumers.
These days Jodee is living with her family in the United States, where she is opening a US-based branch of BabyBaby Skin Care.
