Hawke’s Bay is set to get its own dedicated business magazine with the launch of The Profit.
The Profit’s founder and publishing manager Damon Harvey said the magazine has been launched to tell the great success stories of Hawke’s Bay businesses and champion our businesspeople living in the region.
It will also investigate issues impacting Hawke’s Bay businesses and provide insights, ideas, opinion and advice to help people in business.
The Profit is pleased to announce well-known Hawke’s Bay journalist Lawrence Gullery as editor, who will be joined by a range of specialist business reporters and contributing opinion writers.
Mr Harvey, the managing director of Attn! marketing pr said launching a business publication has been six years in the making and came from a desire to provide readers with greater coverage, investigation and opinion on business and ‘a jolly good read’.
“There’s a lot of factors that impact on businesses in Hawke’s Bay and we want to bring these to the surface, get some debate going and push for change.
“We will be writing thought provoking stories that provide the reader with an opportunity to make their mind up more objectively.
“There are many great businesses and some true business leaders in our region and we also want to champion them,” Mr Harvey said.
Editor Lawrence Gullery says stories in the first issue include ‘the business of tourism in the region’, the benefits of a business park at the Hawke’s Bay airport and how local businesses will benefit from the introduction of fibre broadband.
The magazine will be published quarterly with a print run of 10,000. It will be distributed free to all businesses throughout the region.
The magazine will also have the Colliers International Commercial Property portfolio – showcasing properties and businesses for sale or lease – which takes the magazine outside the region to targeted business investors.
