It's a cake replica of my ACTUAL laptop, with a book I really own (just ask Matt!) and a screenshot of my actual desktop at the time. I've never seen anything like it and I was TOTALLY speechless. The Dory beneath the laptop was one me and the folks at Farmlands got made when Hamish left to return to Wray and his pals at Need-a-Nerd. Thank goodness my days of artful decoration are almost over. That said, I'll never forget that first teddy bear b'day cake I attempted and the icing wouldn't stick to the sides. I've learned a few little tricks since then. A cool alien cake with half avocados for eyes, a black and yellow smiley face that totally upset all the Napier hill mums because the kids came home with black teeth, clothes, hair... thankfully my no-fail, beat-the-hell-out-of-it-for-three-minutes chocolate cake smothered in lollies or strawberries can work wonders on most occasions!
