There are some fun groups of people emerging in the Bay. It’s not just the IT Geeks …
‘Girls with spark’ this is the way Diana describes the mix of women who now make up the newly formed Hawke’s Bay supper club.

Take a group of vivacious, entertaining women and mix with the plethora of eating establishments in Hawke’s Bay and what do you have – the Hawke’s Bay Supper Club. Born out of a casual conversation at a local pub quiz evening, Diana Arnold rallied a few women she has met since settling in Havelock North earlier this year and the first Supper Club evening took place in August. The group of twelve women were graciously hosted to a superb meal at Mangapapa Petit Hotel and shown some of the delights of this well-established Hawke’s Bay landmark.
The following month was a totally different experience with canapés and champagne at the newly opened florist, Blanchett on Joll, and then on to Diva Bar and Bistro for another scrumptious meal in the private dining area. This covered outdoor would be ideal on balmy summer evenings although we did have the luxury of heaters on this crisp winter evening.
This month the group swelled in numbers and over 20 women descended on Take 5 Restaurant and Jazz Bar in Napier. The owner, Peter, certainly had his hands full as women talked over each other and moved around the tables throughout the evening.
Although it is early days the following is continuing to grow and Diana and friends put it down to the diversity of the women, the casual approach to the evenings and the great dining opportunities that await the ‘club’. Hawke’s Bay Supper Club dines out on the first Thursday of each month and anyone interested in becoming part of the group can contact Diana Arnold at Havelock House B&B on 877 5439.

Hello,
I am an old friend of Diana, in England. I know that any club, group or event organized by Diana will be a 1st. class ‘happening’. Your gain is my loss!
