We held an entrepreneurs social evening at East Pier in May. It was well received so we’ve decided to do it again, this time at Diva’s in Havelock North… We’re also circulating the invite to a slightly wider audience. Feel free to come along, or forward this to anyone that you think may be interested.
There’s been so much good feedback and fun had at the investment workshops we’ve held over the last 12 months that we’ve decided to hold an informal social evening and invite you all to get together in the same place! There’s no expectations or secret agendas or presentations or anything like that, just an opportunity to mix and mingle with other ambitious people.
This invite is going out to those that have been involved in our investment workshops and others associated with this space – feel free to pass it on to anyone you think might be interested.
Venue: Diva Bistro and Bar (who have kindly offered to put on a few nibbles)
Shop 2 Village Court, 10 Napier Rd, Havelock North
Time: Any time from around 5.30pm
Date: Wednesday 21 July
It should be fun, come along and enjoy – there’s obviously a cash bar open!
Give me a call if you have any questions.
Regards

Sounds like a great idea – if there’s any entrepreneur out there who is keen to promote their next product or service let me know and we’ll do a feature in The Profit – Hawke’s Bay’s business magazine.

Id love to go but I will be out of town on business.

Hey Damon, we’d love to be featured in a future copy of the Profit! I’ve just called the magazine to get some info on advertising – it’s a great read for businesses in the Bay and I’ve been impressed by the quality of the articles I’ve read so far. Good to see some active networking going on locally – our MD attended the Diva event last night and was made to feel very welcome. We’ve recently relocated our company (www.IQideas.com) from Auckland and hope to bring something fresh to the region, as we are neither a technology nor a primary produce company (not that there’s anything wrong with that!). We’re about enriching the minds of young & old with Kiwi designed educational games. Our aim: to unplug families from the technology occasionally & enjoy some old fashioned fun!

Briggita, these games are great, can big kids buy them? Have just sent your web address to my wife as you’ve probaly just solved her Christmas present problems for her UK grandkids. They will love the Moa hunt and learn more about the country their Nana lives in, plus get them away from the Play Station.

That’s our aim Nigel – technology has a big part to play in the world of today’s kids but it needs to be balanced with learning communication and social skills. Thanks for the feedback and lots of our NZ themed games go overseas to grandkids! We do some cool grownup games too – check out ‘Cognition’ which was designed by the crazy brothers who invented the Zorb (that big plastic ball that rolls down a hill with a person inside). Adults need to get the old grey matter working as much as kids do!

Briggita – thanks for the comments – we’re really excited about how the magazine is going and want to make it as positive for the Bay as we can. Happy to look at some story on your business.
