Your Digital Concierge

By Ben Deller, August 22nd, 2012

Hawke’s Bay telecommunications company, NOW™, has  just launched an innovative new customer service proposition that let’s customers have appointments with technology savvy staff to sort out everyday issues with broadband related technology in homes.

NOW’s ‘Digital Concierge’ service has come from the company recognizing the growing complexity that exists in our homes with technology.

CEO, Hamish White, said that “there was a growing trend with customers coming into our offices with issues ranging from wireless access signal strength, utilizing and configuring multiple devices including iPads, through to a raft of other applications and services . We’re a service led company and being local and so accessible meant providing this service became obvious”.

The service is entirely free and is being opened up to customers and non-customers alike, though people are encouraged to book an appointment.

NOW™, formerly Airnet, embarked on an ambitious plan to challenge the incumbent operators. The rebranded company is now fully locally owned and governed by some prominent Hawke’s Bay businessman and under the stewardship of Hamish White is by all accounts starting to deliver on it’s quest. Last month the company launched an aggressive residential broadband and phone line plan with 50GB of data for $75 per month. This combined with the company being the only provider on Hawke’s Bay that is currently connecting homes to fibre has seen an unprecedented level of growth.
