Illustration opportunities in HB?

Hi there,

I am just wanting to know what is available in HB for illustration work, or anything within that realm. I have a family member who has just moved to the HB from the UK- and I know the industry is leaner here in NZ!

Even if no work at the moment is available, the chance to meet/talk with those involved with companies and design firms or other creatives to get networking would be really helpful.

Good Old Bastard Looking for Work

This is a tough one for me, is this appropriate for Fruitbowl? I really don't know, but I am going to give it a shot bc it's my dad.

Ok guys,

I really need your help. I am trying to get my folks over to the Bay from Turangi.

Mostly bc I am sick of paying for babysitters, but a lot bc I can help them out more if they are here.

And to make my mum feel happy about the move, I need to get my dad a job.

Dad is bloody good at pretty much any labouring work that is required i.e. if you need a fence - he can build it, if you need a regular deliveries of your product - he can deliver it (even in the small hours), if you want security tapes watched he will spot the crim (he did that for a living and made a bomb in the 90's working for Whitcoulls, Paper Plus, service station etc), he farmed for a century (to be honest, this is his passion) so he knows which end needs to be dagged etc - when many of us do not.

Yes he is old - but isn't 70 the new 50? Or something?

Dad is as fit as a fiddle and is as keen as mud to be busy and contributing.

So if any of you have anything going, or know of anyone who might - forward, share, like, tweet - whatever, but I would really appreciate the mention.

I'm posting on behalf of my 16 year old daughter who is unable to fund her expensive lifestyle without some part time work. She is a year 12 student doing accelerated classes in Maths and Chemistry (year 13). She is very computer literate and can touch type at remarkable speeds.

She is an excellent resource for computer related jobs that involve data entry, copying content from one place to another or doing repetitive content management work. She can do this while baby sitting your children, if need be, as she has a certificate in nappy changing and dealing with difficult messes.
