Chris said “The Minister has launched a $30 million venture capital fund to ensure capital growth. This is essential to building export-focused, high productivity young companies, and that is exciting news for newtech companies in the Bay."

" The global financial crisis has resulted in limited investment activity in the New Zealand venture capital sector since 2007.The aim of the fund, backed by Wellington firm MOVAC, is to generate commercial decisions that will offer new opportunities for entrepreneurial and leading edge Hawke's Bay businesses." said Craig.

"This fund, it is hoped, will establish new growth and therefore generate private investment into innovative young companies. Hawke's Bays future growth will support the continued development of New Zealand’s venture capital industry," said local Hawke's Bay MPs, Chris Tremain and Craig Foss.

You must have at least 3 years experience, preferably in digital media and project management. You must be highly organised and process driven, ensure deadlines are met, and be able to manage all aspects of a project from brief to completion. The turnout was fantastic, the room was PACKED full of stakeholders, members of the local tourism industry and media. And expectation was high.. ish.

Matt's parents, my cousins and a lot of our good friends still live in Chch, all of them are ok so far, so for that we are very thankful.
